Bloomin' Basket
You Will Need
One small terra-cotta pot, around 5-6'
Double-sided scrapbook paper in two coordinating patterns & colors ('Monochromatic tones work best,' advises Sbranti.)
Tiny artificial flowers and butterflies (optional)
Wheatgrass or Easter grass filler
What to Do
1. Cut a strip from the scrapbook paper that is the same width and length as the rim of the pot, then attach it to the rim with glue.
2. Add grass to the pot.
3. Cut another strip of paper, about 1' in width and 10' in length, from your other paper pattern. Bend the paper to create a 'handle,' then use glue dots to attach both ends to opposite sides of the pot.
4. Be creative: Embellish the 'basket' with bundles of lovely flowers and some carefully placed butterflies.
Flower Field Centerpiece
You Will Need
Wheatgrass or your favorite bedding plants (English daisies are pictured.)
Shallow rectangular vases
Utility knife (to cut the grass)
Daffodils or other favorite flowers
Die-cut chipboard shapes (Sbranti likes Maya Road's.)
Decorative Papers
Lollipop sticks
Glue stick or spray craft glue
What to Do
Make the Field
1. Fill shallow rectangular vases with wheatgrass and miniature daffodils, then use them to line the center of your Easter table.
2. Use the utility knife to cut the grass into strips that will fit into your vase.
3. Place the grass strips into the vase making sure the fit is snug.
4. Cut flowers to a height just slightly taller than the grass, then add them to the rectangular grass 'field,' spreading them around randomly.
Make the Chipboard Shapes
1. Trace and cut chipboard shapes from decorative paper.
2. Use a glue stick or spray glue to attach the cut paper shapes to both sides of the chipboard shape.
3. Using a hot glue gun, attach a lollipop stick to one side of the chipboard piece then let dry.
4. Insert the lollipop sticks into the 'flower field.'
Runnin' Rabbit Runner
You Will Need
Scrapbook paper or cardstock in at least six different, coordinating patterns and colors.
Matching ribbon, about 1/2' - 3/4' thick.
Scissors
Xacto knife
Easter bunny template to trace.
What to Do
1. Find a silhouette of an Easter bunny to trace for your template. (Click here for Sbranti's template.)
2. Trace the bunny template onto different scrapbook papers until there are 12 or more paper bunnies, depending on your table's length.
3. Using the Xacto knife, add two slits on either side of the bunny for the ribbon to slide through. Make sure the slit is slightly larger than your ribbon.
4. Slide bunnies onto the ribbon, one by one, then lay the runner on your table to adjust the placement of each bunny as necessary.
